Twelve images of Agastache foeniculum, Anise hyssop, Lamiaceae or Labiate, Mint Family. Anise hyssop was used by northern Plains Indians as a beverage tea, and the infusion was also used as a sweetener. The flowers were often included in Cree medicine bundles. The Chippewa used the root for coughs and respiratory problems. The Cheyenne utilized an infusion of the herb for chest pain due to coughing, colds, fevers, and most importantly, to correct a dis-spirited heart, weak heart, or chest pain.
