Also known as Angelica pubescens, this species is now designated Angelica biserrata. The root, du huo, is widelu used in traditional Chinese medicine for pain-relieving (analgesis) and anti-inflammatory activity in rheumatism and rheumatoid arthritis, among many other uses. It is found in moist soils in Central China in Anhui, Hubei, Jiangxi, Sichuan, and Zhejiang.
