Photos Schisandra glabra, Schisandra coccinea, Bay-star vine, American Schisandra, (Schisandraceae - Schisandra family) is the only North American species in this medicinally important plant group, found in moist soils in the southeastern United States, a relatively rare plant yet to be research for its medicinal potential.
