Sixty photographs of Sacsayhuamán. Overseeing the ancient city of Cusco, Peru, the oldest city in the Western Hemisphere, are the ruins of the fortress temple Sacsayhuamán, which includes some of the finest examples of Inca stonework. Largely destroyed by the Spanish conquest in the 1500s, some stones are estimated to weigh over 360 tons. The average weight of stones used to build the Egyptian Pyramids is about 2 tons.
