Twenty-four images of Pulmonaria officinalis, Lungwort, a member of the Boraginaceae (Boarge Family) that occurs in Europe from S. Sweden and the Netherlands through N. Italy to the Balkans. The leaves are characteristically white-spotted. Root once used similarly to and as a substitute for comfrey (Sypmphytum spp.), also as a vulnerary. Leaves once used in lung diseases, influenze and whooping cough, often in combination with other herbs.
